beginner yoga classes and workshops

So you want to learn to do yoga?

Starting something new, including a yoga pratice, can often feel scary and intimidating.  Our yoga classes for beginners provide an opportunity for you to become a yogi at your own pace.  Our experienced yoga instructors help you learn correctly from the ground up, ensuring you stay healthy, and injury free for years to come.  It is not about the shape you is how you feel in your body and mind.  This is your place to start.

NEW VIBE5 yoga classes are not intimidating.

You shouldn't have to spend your time looking around the room trying to figure out what you should be doing.  In NEW VIBE5 yoga classes and workshops, we teach beginners yoga to learn the basics, move new yogis through intermediate workshops and promote them to our more challenging HOT VIBE5 yoga classes, having learned proper form and techniques.

Don't get lost in the in the flow.

This is not yoga for dummies.  This is yoga for beginners.  And you do not have to be flexible to start. This is non-heated yoga for those that want to learn, those that want to grow their practice, those that want to push their own limits. Our instructors are here for you.  Have questions?  Just ask.

Do I need any prior experience?

No!  Our NEW VIBE5 classes are specifically designed for beginners that are new to yoga.  Our instructors will work with you to teach you everything you need to know to feel confident in your yoga practice.

What if I can't do all the poses?

Don't worry, we don't expect you to.  We encourage each yogi to move at their own pace.  If there is something you can't do, we provide lots of options to modify. NEW VIBE5 classes are a great place for those who are rehabbing injuries, coming back to yoga after a hiatus, even those who have an established practice but want to slow down and get back to basics.

Is it hot yoga?

No, we are not going to throw you in the deep end.  Our NEW VIBE5 classes and workshops take place in a gently warmed studio; around 85 degrees so students are not chilly to begin.  There is no heat run during practice.

What do I need to bring?

We recommed you bring a towel, some water and a mat.  But don't worry if you don't have any of those things; we have Manduka mats to rent, complimentary towels and water for purchase.

What should I wear for yoga?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that will allow you to move freely. Plan to practice without socks and shoes.

Are all the new classes the same?

We teach based on guiding principals specific to our NEW VIBE5 format but each instructor has their own style and personality.  We recommend trying a number of our different classes and instructors.
